Free Printable Keep Calm and Teach On

Keep Calm and Teach On free printable

It is almost the beginning of a new school year, and the beginning of a renewed focus on my blog.  I appreciate your patience as I work over the next few months to make some changes to the appearance of the blog and add lots of fun posts and printables and cut files.

To jump start my return, I am offering this fun freebie!  I absolutely LOVE these "Keep Calm" printables, don't you?  I have been planning this one for a while. I was visiting with a friend, who is a teacher. Since it was before Christmas, her daughter was looking through a magazine, found one and said "Mom, I want to get this for you."  Well, she never did, and I didn't forget that she wanted to get one for her mom, so...

I need your advice, I am relatively certain that she won't be able to arrange to get it herself (she is only 11), and I haven't heard about nor has it arrived at their home.  So, being a bit on the crafty side, I said to myself, "I can do that"  and am wondering if it is ok to offer to give her this one to give to her mom? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you are interested in downloading this in a 4x6 for yourself, please click this link and download the PDF.

As always, I am happy to share my tutorials, freebies / printables (and now cut files) with you, I only ask that you do the following:
  • Please leave a comment if you download  freebie / printable / digi, etc, because I would love to hear from you
  • If you enjoy the things I share with you, please become a follower so that you will see all the new stuff when it is posted (no pressure, join only if you want)
  • Please do not share any of my digital images, printables, or tutorials directly with others, but please do send them on over to me so that they can peruse and collect the images themselves.
  • I would be thrilled and honored if you would send me links to any images or posts that you've done using something that I have shared with you.  If you say it is ok, I will even feature your work here!
  • If you want to recolor the images, feel free!
  • If you have a special request, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Most importantly be Fantastically Creative You!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Bye Bye Google Reader

Ok, so I am a little late in getting around to this. I know, I think it is purely denial, I mean why would google actually get rid of google reader?!?!?

Let me repeat, Google Reader is going away :-(

Yes, it is true and if I don't get my act together, you won't be able to follow me after July 1st

Please make sure that whichever reader you decide on, you follow my blog:
     Quilling, Art and Expression (http://quilling.blogspot.com/)

You may have noticed I added a new icon / link to allow you to easily follow via BlogLovin' .... The truth is that I'm not sure which I like better, BlogLovin or Feedly, so why did I add the BlogLovin' link you may ask? There was a super easy to follow link that added the code to my blog for me - you know, the easier the better and you cannot get easier than that.

My friends, I hope that you are able to convert over (I actually have an account with both) and I'll see you on the other side of no more google reader - lol :-)

One last thing.... If you subscribe via email you shouldn't have to do anything, and I haven't changed anything else.

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Birthday Card and some Linky Parties

Antonella Sweet Stampin Challenge Make It Monday Birthday Card Mariannes Creatables

The weather can't decide what it wants to do these days, it is rainy, hot, cold, dry, you name it.

I made this birthday card for a co-worker whose birthday happened to fall on a business trip we took recently.  I'm glad I took a picture of it before our trip because it didn't travel well, it was a wee bit squished when we arrived - lol.

While I was contemplating what to make, I made my rounds around blog-land and decided to follow the sketch from this weeks Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog to inspire my card.

So what do you think of my interpretation of this sketch? To make it more fun, I decided to try some colors I don't use very often and added some fun dies and followed my inspiration muse. I added the Pink "ribbon"  to soften up the card.

I am participating in the following challenges:

I used my Marianne Designs - Creatables Die on this card because I hadn't used them before :-)

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Mother's Day Card and Free Printable

Antonella Mothers Day Card
I wanted to share a sweet Mother's Day card I made.  I really, really love square cards, don't you? Do you have a style of card that you keep going back to time and time again?

I know that the colors are not what you would think of for a Mother's Day card, but I wanted to do something different and I really loved this paper.  I then began punching flowers and layering them. Of course, no card is complete without some sparkle, so I added some 'gemstones' to the flowers :-) Flowers aren't complete without a butterfly, don't you agree?

Don't you love the Mother's Day badge? This is not one of mine, this is from one of the blogs I follow "Netty's Cards" you can find her freebie here.

Challenges:

  • I am joining in on the "As You Like It Challenge" - As I mentioned above, I love butterflies and my Martha butterfly punch is my favorite!!! You will have seen this butterfly on many of my projects!  This is their very 1st challenge, hop on over and take a peak - they are also looking for DT members if you are interested!!!  I love the fact that these challenges run for 2 weeks - for those of you busy mom's like me you actually have a chance to get your project together!
  • I am also joining the "Simply Create Too - Anything Goes" Challenge - you have plenty of time to get your project together for this one as well, it closes on May 23rd! Great!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
